University of Delaware

ISE Lab
Newark, DE

Services was engaged to provide exterior envelope consultancy to Ayers Saint Gross Architects for the University’s new ISE Lab.

The facility includes classrooms, teaching laboratories, and research facilities; as well as space for the University of Delaware Energy Institute, Delaware Environmental Institute, and the Catalysis Center for Energy Innovation.

As part of the University’s Path to Prominence and Climate Action Plan, ISE Lab was designed to the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED Silver design standards, which includes green roofs, solar panels, storm water management, and extensive recycling initiatives through-out the construction process.

ISE Lab’s exterior design components are of brick, slate and metal panels, in keeping with contiguous campus architecture.
