Princeton University - Gordon Wu Department of Facilities
Gordon Wu Hall was completed in 1982 and houses dining facilities at the First Floor and offices, a lounge area, and library with a mezzanine at the Second Floor. Large bay windows at each end of the building serve as both circulation and community spaces. The building’s exterior utilizes a structural steel frame system supporting CMU (concrete masonry unit) walls clad in brick and stone. TBS was engaged to provide the professional services required to investigate the existing conditions contributing to failure of the insulated glass units of the exterior glazing system/windows of Gordon Wu Hall. As an adjunct to the original project TBS performed an assessment of the masonry cladding to identify existing deficiencies and provide recommendations to address the conditions.
